Uma noite de milagres

Nosso organizador havia descrito a casa de show como um “lugar de assassinos”, mas ao chegarmos, sentimos um ambiente de muita paz. O próprio dono comentou que a casa estava diferente. Mesmo sendo um ateu convicto, ele se mostrou muito aberto e permitiu que fizéssemos dois shows consecutivos. No horário marcado para o primeiro, já havia um público de 80 pessoas, aproximadamente.

Durante a primeira apresentação, alguns reagiram com bastante sarcasmo, porém, isso não impediu que um grupo de 10 pessoas viesse para frente, atendendo ao chamado para aceitarem a Cristo. Levamos o grupo até uma sala de apoio ao lado do palco e muitas outras pessoas ainda vieram junto e encheram a sala para ouvir mais. Uma delas era uma repórter de um jornal local, que se juntou com os demais com o intuito de escrever uma matéria sobre a banda. Ao ouvir a mensagem, ela não conteve as lágrimas. Após assistir ao segundo show, foi a primeira a vir e aceitar a Jesus.

No segundo show, um público de 200 pessoas enchia a casa. Elas se amontoavam na frente para assistir e, como da primeira vez, alguns riam e ridicularizavam a performance. Mais uma vez, o Luke fez o convite para ir à frente quem quisesse oração. Aproximadamente vinte e cinco pessoas vieram à frente, inclusive vários dos que riram durante o show. Houve até aplausos do pessoal que estava no bar. Novamente a banda os levou até a sala de apoio, que ficou lotada! Todos eles queriam perguntar, saber mais e faltavam tradutores para atender a demanda. A Dalila, nossa vocal, comentou que tudo o que ela viu acontecendo ia além da fé dela: pessoas que não simpatizaram com a banda tomaram uma decisão radical sem reservas. Um dos rapazes não conseguia conter o que sentia e desabafou muita coisa para os membros da banda (o depoimento dele foi gravado, mas não até o final, porque ele se emocionou muito e não conseguiu continuar).

No dia seguinte, o Luke e os membros do Alegorica foram chamados para irem à igreja local, pois quatro pessoas que haviam estado no show estavam lá para ouvir mais do Evangelho. Um deles contou que, durante o show, um vazio que estava dentro dele foi preenchido e ele queria saber mais. O dono da casa de show também quis saber mais sobre a mensagem de Jesus, que alcança qualquer pessoa, em qualquer lugar.

Hoje, terça-feira, temos um show em Rovaniemi, Finlândia. Terças-feiras não são um dia comum para shows aqui, por isso pedimos oração para que esta noite seja uma exceção e muitos venham ouvir a mensagem.

A night of miracles

As you may remember from our previous post, our organizer in Russia described the club we were playing at as ‘a house of murderers’. However, as soon as we arrived there, we felt great peace, and even the owner of the place said the vibe there was different. Even though claiming himself as an atheist, he was very open to us and agreed about us having two presentations in a row. By the time we would have our first show, there was an audience of about 80 people already.

During our first performance, some people reacted with sarcasm. However, their reaction didn’t stop a group of 10 people from stepping forward to receive prayer at Luke's invitation. Many others followed the group to the room next to the stage to hear more. One of them was a journalist that was there to write an article about the band. She couldn’t hold back her tears as she heard the message. After watching the second show, she was the first to step forward.

By the time of the second show, an audience of around 200 people were there. They crowded to the front to watch it, and just as it happened in the first time, some mocked during the performance. Once again, Luke invited those who wanted prayer to step forward. A group of about 25 people came, including many of those who were mocking. The people at the bar even clapped. The band led everyone to the spare room, which got packed! Everybody (some of whom hadn't responded to Luke's invitation) wanted to ask questions, to know more, and there were so many that there weren't enough translators. Dalila, one of our singers, mentioned that everything she saw happening reached beyond her faith: people who at first didn't sympathize with the band made a radical decision with open hearts. One of the guys couldn't contain his feelings and opened his heart to the band members (his words were recorded in an interview, but he was unable to finish because he was so emotional).

On the following day, Luke and the other members were called to the local church as four people who had attended the show the night before were there to hear more about the Gospel. One of them told them that, during the show, the emptiness inside him had been filled up, and he wanted to learn more. The owner of the club also wanted to know more about Jesus' message, which can reach anybody, anywhere. 

Today is Tuesday and we have another show in Rovaniemi, Finland. We’ve been told that people don’t usually attend shows on weekdays. That’s why we ask you to pray for us, so that tonight can be an exception and many people may come to hear our message.
